Wine and Tourism Tour in Champagne

ITINERARY

Sunday, April 19 - Friday, April 24, 2026

** Day 1 **

The charm of French heritage

Our journey begins with a visit to the Château de Condé, a true architectural monument of the 18th century. Its sumptuous interiors, collections of antique furniture, and paintings will immerse you in the luxurious atmosphere of the aristocracy. After lunch, we will discover Orbais Abbey, a medieval monument nestled in the tranquility of nature, whose walls hold memories of Benedictine monks and the region’s first winegrowers. Finally, we will settle into a comfortable house where we will stay for the duration of our trip. A delicious dinner will conclude our discovery of Champagne.

** Day 2 **

Épernay and the village of Dom Perignon

After breakfast, we will depart for Épernay, the capital of champagne, with its famous Avenue de Champagne and shops. We will soak up the luxurious atmosphere, then visit the legendary Moët & Chandon* house: we will explore the famous cellars, learn the secrets of production, and taste different vintages. After lunch, we will head to Hautvillers, a picturesque village nestled among vineyards, where the famous monk Dom Pérignon once lived. We will stroll through the historic streets and discover the atmosphere of the birthplace of legendary champagne. Then, we will meet an independent winemaker: visit the cellar, taste his range of champagnes, and learn about his practices. In the evening, we will return home and share our impressions over a delicious dinner.

** Day 3 **

Vineyards and winemakers' secrets

The third day is devoted to winemaking expertise. You will meet independent winemakers, discover their work in their traditional cellars, learn how the harvest takes place and how the best grape varieties for champagne are selected. The walk through the vineyards, where you can admire picturesque views of the green hills and valleys, the true jewel of Champagne, will leave you with unforgettable memories. Don’t miss the opportunity to taste young champagne straight from the barrel! And of course, I won’t let you go hungry. As every day, we will have breakfast, lunch, and dinner accompanied by excellent wines specially selected for you.

** Day 4 **

Reims, architecture, and champagne houses

After breakfast, we will drive to Reims, the cultural center of the region, famous for its architectural masterpieces and rich historical heritage. You will visit the majestic Gothic Notre-Dame Cathedral, where the kings of France were crowned, the Palace of Tau, and the Basilica of Saint-Rémi.

After lunch, the tour will continue at Maison Ruinart*, the oldest champagne house, founded in 1729. We will descend into the majestic champagne cellars and, of course, taste the house’s magnificent champagnes.

Before departure, you will have time to stroll through the shops and streets of downtown Reims.

The evening will end with dinner at the house, the perfect opportunity to toast to these wonderful discoveries!

** Day 5 **

Southern Champagne - The Côte des Bar and Troyes

We start the day with breakfast, then set off for the Côte des Bar, a region renowned for its Pinot Noir vineyards. A small, high-quality estate will open its doors to us: we will meet the winemaker and discover the unique characteristics of the terroir.

After a busy morning, we will head to Troyes, an ancient city with narrow streets, half-timbered houses, and a unique medieval atmosphere. We will have lunch in one of the cozy restaurants. Afterwards, you will have free time to stroll through the shops, choose souvenirs, and admire the Gothic churches and fortified gates. In the evening, we will return home, share our impressions, and relax over dinner in good company.

** Day 6 **

Vernezay, tastings at the estates and back to Paris

Breakfast and then on to Vernezay, where an unusual attraction awaits us: the Vernezay lighthouse, located in the middle of the vineyards. From its observation deck, there is a breathtaking view of the “sea” of vines, and nearby is an old mill, a symbol of wine-growing traditions. After this interesting visit, we will have lunch and continue our wine tour: two estates await us, where we will once again immerse ourselves in the art of the master champagne makers, taste their vintages, and learn more about this amazing drink. In the afternoon, we will leave for Paris, where we will end our trip in the evening, with flavors, new knowledge, and memories in our luggage that we will enjoy sharing with our friends!
